Raise of expected revenue for 2003 from 40 to 45 million Euros

Hanover, 24.07.2003 From the 1st of January to 30th June of the current financial year 2003, Delticom AG in Hanover earned revenue of 22 million Euros (1st half-year 2002: 15.4 million Euros) - more than half of the planned revenue for 2003 of 30 million Euros. "We now expect to earn a higher revenue of 45 million Euros", explained Managing Director Andreas Prüfer. Compared to the first six months of the previous financial year 2002, the European market leader for Internet tyre sales registered an increase of 43 percent. The revenue for e-commerce grew over proportionally, doubling the figures for the same time period of the previous year to 13.5 million Euros (1st half-year 2002: 6.9 million Euros). Wholesale earned 8.5 million Euros like last year. The purchase of the most important Internet address in the German tyre industry, www.reifen.de, has had a very positive effect on German online revenue. This increased from 5.5 million Euros in the first half of 2002 to 9.5 million Euros in the same time period 2003.

Online-Business outside Germany increases significantly
The proportion of Internet revenue earned outside Germany reached 30 percent, 10 percent more than in the first half of 2002. The strongest increase in the private customer business was experienced in Sweden. The revenue of the B2C website increased by eight times. In Switzerland, the revenue tripled to 2 million Euros, in Great Britain Delticom expects to cross the 1 million pound border. The French B2C shop has developed into being the fourth strongest foreign market, even though the shop was only opened in October 2002, and in the Netherlands revenue doubled in the same timeframe.
New: Car Spare Parts for Business Customers - Car Roof Systems for Private Customers

In the second quarter the Hanover-based company entered the B2B spare part business. At www.autoreifenonline.de garages, workshops and car dealers can order their spare parts online. "If a spare part is in stock and ordered before 15:00, it is delivered the next day", explained Rainer Binder, Delticom-Managing Director. After several companies tried to set up an online spare part business and failed, the Delticom management sees this new business venture as an attempt. "If it is successful, we will expand the range and services offered", said Binder.

New in the German B2C range are car roof systems and roof boxes of the brand "Jetbag". After Delticom added engine oil and motorbike batteries for private customers, as well as oil and car batteries for business customers in Germany, the range is now also available outside Germany. Customers in Austria and Switzerland can now obtain the engine oil brand High Performer in their respective B2C shops
